Maja Meissner is the Founder of Meissner & Partners Executive Search and Leadership Development, with offices in Warsaw and Washington, D.C. Since 2010, she has advised boards and CEOs on leadership strategy, succession, and the responsible transformation of organizations. The firm is a member of the Association of Executive Search and Leadership Consultants (AESC), where Maja serves on the IDEA Leadership Council for Africa and Europe, contributing to the global dialogue on inclusive leadership and governance. Beyond executive search, she has co-managed medical companies and co-founded healthcare ventures that were later successfully acquired by larger entities. She is also an investor and Non-Executive Director at Smartschool, an education technology company based in Palo Alto, California, and a Trustee of the Universal Reading Foundation, reflecting her long-standing commitment to education, innovation, and social impact. Guided by a strong sense of purpose, Maja has for many years been actively engaged in pro bono initiatives supporting the development of young leaders and future elites, in collaboration with prestigious academic institutions. She is also the initiator of Cultura Animi – an intimate salon for the exchange of ideas, bringing together representatives of business, culture, academia, and youth to discuss meaning, aesthetics and the shifting dynamics of the modern world.
